Saturday 4th of November, 2017, 3.00–4.00 pm Special event to mark the opening of our exhibition at Caithness Horizons on Alan Mackintosh, poet of the Highland Division (see Exhibitions section below). Melvich Gaelic Choir, conducted by Raymond Bremner, performed An Eala Bhan and Sine Bhan (WW1 gaelic songs), with readings of EAM’s poetry by Pat Kieran, and Soloist Eileen Duncan sang Eilean Beag Donn A’ Chuain. The event closed with Piobaireachd song Cumha Mhic an Toisich – The Lament for Mackintosh, sung by Linn Phipps.
